The Gods

Dozens of deities are revered, worshiped, and feared throughout the world of the Forgotten Realms. At least thirty deities are widely known across the Realms, and many more are worshiped locally, by individual tribes, small cults, or certain sects of larger religious temples. DIfferent races also have their own pantheons.
A Guide to the Deities
The gods listed below are members of the Faerûnian Pantheon.

Greater Deities:
Worshipers of the greater deities number in the millions and the most powerful of them may even rule over other deities.
Bane, lawful evil god of tyranny
Chauntea, neutral good goddess of agriculture
Cyric, chaotic evil god of lies
Kelemvor, lawful neutral god of the dead
Lathander, neutral good god of birth and renewal
Mystra, neutral good goddess of magic
Oghma, true neutral god of knowledge
Shar, neutral evil goddess of destruction and loss
Silvanus, true neutral god of wild nature
Sune, chaotic good goddess of love and beauty
Talos, chaotic evil god of storms
Tempus, true neutral god of war
Torm, lawful good god of courage and self-sacrifice

Intermediate Deities:
The intermediate deities have hundreds of thousands of mortal worshipers.
Beshaba, chaotic evil goddess of misfortune
Bhaal, neutral evil god of murder
Gond, true neutral god of craft
Helm, lawful neutral god of protection
Ilmater, lawful good god of endurance
Mask, chaotic neutral god of thieves
Mielikki, neutral good goddess of forests
Selûne, chaotic good goddess of the moon
Tyr, lawful good god of justice
Tymora, chaotic good goddess of good fortune
Umberlee, chaotic evil goddess of the sea

Lesser Deities:
The lesser deities have anywhere between a few thousand to tens of thousands of worshippers.
Auril, neutral evil goddess of winter
Azuth, lawful neutral god of wizards
Deneir, neutral good god of writing
Eldath, neutral good goddess of peace
Leira, chaotic neutral goddess of illusion
Lliira, chaotic good goddess of joy
Loviatar, lawful evil goddess of pain
Malar, chaotic evil god of the hunt
Milil, neutral good god of poetry and song
Myrkul, neutral evil god of death
Savras, lawful neutral god of divination and fate
Talona, chaotic evil goddess of disease and poison
Waukeen, true neutral goddess of trade

These entities, known as demigods, are the weakest of the deities, though they can still grant spells and perform deeds beyond mortal capabilities. Their devoted worshipers number anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand.
They will be listed as they become relevant to the campaign.

Note on Favoured Weapons:
“Favoured weapons” of the gods are not only what they use in combat, but also what appears when spells such as spiritual weapon are cast. The contents of circle brackets refer to what kind of weapon clerics of that god most commonly carry, and square brackets indicate if the weapon the god uses is different from that.
