Dark Arrow Keep
The orcs of the Many-Arrows clan united beneath the banner of the famed King Obould Many-Arrows long ago, and ever since then Dark Arrow Keep has been the centre of power of orcish might in the North.
However, in 1484 DR King Obould’s descendant, Obould VI, was killed, and the new chieftain Hartusk set the orc horde in motion against the Silver Marches in the War of Everlasting Darkness. That conflict would end in 1485 in orcish defeat, and Dark Arrow Keep would find itself greatly diminished as the dwarves tore much of it down.
The remaining orcs of Many-Arrows reunited under Obould’s line once more under the pro-peace chieftain Lorgru, and Dark Arrow Keep has been partly restored – though to a far lesser extent. Despite this, Dark Arrow Keep remains rambling and well-defended by the orcs, and is renowned for its massive weight of stone, blind alleys, crude traps, and confounding corridors raked by hidden arrow slits.
