The Stockwood Scrolls
The small village of Altland in the northern part of the Misty Forest, is home to about one hundred elves. It is a village of two levels, with many homes in the tree-tops, linked by winding staircases around the trees. The village is centred around a statue of an elven ranger.
Altland was one of the few attacked by the Cult of the Dragon which had survivors, a fact unveiled by Corran Evruil during his investigations in conjunction with Prince Alagarthas and the Emerald Enclave. As a result, the town was considered the best lead in investigating the attacks, and Corran travelled to Waterdeep to seek the aid of Groβ Panzer in investigating it.
A priest of Corellon Larethian used to be the leader of the townspeople, but he was eaten whole during the dragon attack. The town’s warden, Galin took over afterwards, but it was later revealed that the village’s survival was due to Galin’s giving up the locations of other elven villages to the Cult of the Dragon.
